- Own hardware system architecture from requirements through design review, validation, bring-up, qualification, and deployment.
- Write system, board, interface, and rack specifications for internal teams and external partners.
- Review vendor designs, make build, buy, or co-design decisions, and manage technical risks and requirements.
- Define interconnect, networking, board, chassis, rack, power, thermal, reliability, and serviceability architectures.

### Qualifications needed

- Deep hands-on expertise in at least one hardware systems domain for large-scale compute or networking systems.
- Experience owning architecture across machines, racks, rows, and clusters, and taking hardware through high-volume production.
- Experience working with hardware vendors and partners, reviewing designs, and enforcing specifications.
- Ability to assess trade-offs across hardware domains and lead technical decisions across teams and partners.
